Thermal Inspection
Heat shows a fault long before a meter does. We survey solar plants, switchgear and building envelopes thermally, and hand you a report that says what is wrong and exactly where.
What we inspect
Photovoltaic installations — hot spots, failed bypass diodes, disconnected or underperforming strings, soiling patterns, located per module so your O&M team goes straight to the panel. Electrical installations — switchgear, terminals, busbars, drives and motors surveyed under representative load, which is the only condition in which a loose connection actually shows up. Building envelopes — thermal bridges, missing or wet insulation, air leakage and heat loss across roofs and facades.
How a survey runs
We agree the scope and the conditions first, because thermography is only as good as the conditions it is flown or walked in: PV surveys need irradiance above a threshold and a stable sky; electrical surveys need the installation running under real load. On site we capture radiometric imagery — aerially for plants and roofs, on foot for panels and machinery. You receive a report per asset: thermal and visual image side by side, measured delta-T, location reference, a severity classification, and a recommendation. Findings are prioritised so you can plan the fix, not just react to it.
What you receive
- Radiometric report per finding: thermal + visual image, delta-T, location
- Severity classification and prioritised recommendations
- For PV: per-module fault mapping over the plant layout
- Georeferenced overview of the surveyed asset
- Debrief with your maintenance or O&M team
